Celebrating the 25th Annual ADDY Awards

March 22, 2016

Addys,Events,RAF,Rochester

This year marked the 25th annual ADDY Awards. On Friday, March 18 our creative community came together to celebrate our grit and our glory. And what a record breaking year it was! With more than 400 entries received, we awarded 94 ADDYs throughout the night – the largest number of any year.

Truth Collective received the coveted “Best of Show” award for its work on the Filmworthy Campaign (B2B)/Kodak Motion Picture Film. Other top winners included Partners & Napier, Dixon Schwabl, Cohber, Inc., Myers Creative Imaging, and Optic Sky Productions.

“Rochester’s creative advertising community continues to raise the bar, especially with this year’s record-breaking number of entries and level of talent,” said Rich Brainerd, RAF President. “The ADDY awards celebrate not only the winners, but the amazing and creative talent we have right here in Rochester.”

The night also featured 13 student ADDYs given to area college students, with Rochester Institute of Technology students winning big.  Ernst & Young awarded four $500 scholarships.

Industry veteran and RAF Founder Frank Kopec was given the Silver Achievement Award, a lifetime achievement award for individuals who have had a lasting impact on the local advertising community.

Winners from the Rochester ADDY Awards will go on to compete in the regional ADDY competition, with a chance to compete nationally.
