Several Rochester based agencies won awards at the District 2 American Advertising Awards. District 2 of the American Advertising Federation represents ad clubs in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, DC.
The American Advertising Awards is one of the industry’s largest creative competitions, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year through local club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in advertising.
The American Advertising Awards is a three-tiered creative competition, where all entries compete at the local level, winners of local competitions are forwarded to the district competition, and the best of the best at the district level vie for winning a national ADDY Award. Last year, three Rochester based firms won gold and eleven won silver, and one student won gold and three won silver at the District 2 level competition. This year, eight firms won gold, and ten silver. One student won gold and four silver.
