AAF’s 2017 Government Affairs Conference
Advocacy and Action: Advertising Day on the Hill

Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 30, 2017 for AAF’s 2017 Government Affairs conference Advocacy and Action: Advertising Day on the Hill. This event is free to any AAF member who would like to attend.

As a grassroots organization, AAF’s lobbying strength comes from its membership – us – of adverting professionals from across the country. Attendees at the Conference will hear from top policy marketers, receive in-depth briefings on the issues affecting the advertising industry and then walk the halls of Congress to meet with Senators and Representatives from their home states. If every ad club or even every state that has a member ad club were to have one member in attendance, think of what a powerful message that will send to lawmakers!

In addition to Advertising Day on the Hill being a free event, AAF will provide up to $250 per state in travel stipends to help defray expenses. This money will be allocated at the discretion of the current Governor. The stipend may be used to help one member in a state attend the Conference, or it may be distributed to multiple members. The $250 is not transferable to other states nor is it for use by non-members.

Room blocks are available for conference attendees at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill (202-737-1234) and the Donovan Hotel (202-737-1200) for those attending the Governor’s Planning Retreat.

If you’re interested in attending as a representative of the Rochester Advertising Federation and/or New York State, please reach out to president@rafconnect.org.
